A. File electronically and opt for direct deposit. You will have your money in 8-15 days. Any faster than that is actually a loan against your refund and those were severely cut back on this year if not eliminated and normally are not offered outside of tax season.

A. The IRS is the only agency that issues tax refunds and they do it in their own sweet time. There are several agencies who give Refund Anticipation Loans but they are all a complete rip off! The interest rate is some where around 36 to 50%. There are also other fees associated with them. The most ridiculous part about this is if you efile with turbo tax or pretty much any other reputable agency (you can get a list from irs.gov) it is free for federal and you get your refund in 8 to 15 days. Don't get a RAL they are right up there with Payday Loans...hopefully this administration will do something about regulating and banning them right along with Payday Loans!

A. Do you want fastest or least expensive, or a combination of both? You can go to H&R Block get a refund anticipation load. and get charged a whole buttload of your tax refund in finance and fees for a loan of a couple of weeks. The fastest way (while being cheap) is go online and file your taxes yourself, and use electronic filing and electronic deposit. I have gotten mine in less than 2 weeks.. the closer to Jan 1 you file, the faster it is... closer to April 15, the slower the process is. The loans for the 24 hour tax refund is NOT worth it... way to expensive...

A. This really depends on the complexity of your return. If you go to a place like H & R Block, I would recommend choosing the service where you have to wait 8-15 days, give or take a day. They charge a fee for the money to be paid into their account, then they deduct their fees and send the balance to your bank account electronically. It is a whole lot cheaper than taking a Rapid Refund loan and getting money either stright away or in 1 or 2 days. If you think you can do your return yourself, someone mentioned taxactonline.com. I use that service myself. However, it is not free to everybody. When you are ready to file, go to irs.gov and click on the freefile icon. A. Companies like H&R Block will prepare your taxes for a fee and provide you with a "loan" for your tax refund. However, read the fine print because when your tax refund arrives, H&R will be taking a portion of it. Your best option is to prepare your taxes yourself, if possible, and mail it within a week of receiving your W-2. The first tax refunds that are receives by the IRS will normally have the refunds processed in 4 weeks.

A. I don't know if they have an online service or not, but H&R Block can get you their Rapid Refund in just a matter of a few hours or days if you file w/ them. It would probably benefit you if you need it quickly to go to one of their offices in your area and get it filed so you could get the Rapid Refund. It helps out in a bind for some people, I have to file S Corporation so I have to send it in the mail and WAIT, LOL!!

A. I don't believe they could get it to you that fast. The average refund for an e-filed return is 10 days. H&R Block offers a service called "instant money refund application loan" They give you your refund on the spot (minus bank and H&R Block fees). It depends on how fast you need your money.

The fastest way is to adjust your W-4 so that only the correct amount of tax is withheld that way you don't give the government an interest free loan and have your money when you earn it not up to a year later. If your employer will cooperate, set up a savings account and make a payroll allotment so that your "refund" can earn you some interest.

A. Using Turbo Tax efile and direct deposit, my fastest turnaround was about a week. If you go to a tax prep office, you can walk out with a check that day (but of course that's actually a loan against your refund, so you are paying for the privilege twice over.)

A. To get your refund fastest, e-file, with the direct deposit option. As for the stimulus check, there's no way to hurry that - you'll get it when you get it. Although - if you chose direct deposit on your return this year, your stimulus check will come the same way, which cuts about 5-7 days off the time. E-filing over mailing generally makes about a weeks' difference. A mailed return, with a mailed refund, takes 4-6 weeks. Subtract a week for e-filing, and a week for direct deposit, and you get 2-4 weeks from submission to refund with e-file and DD. Of course, extenuating circumstances can always make it longer. Nothing is garanteed.
